What it takes to be something else

We all want to be the better version of ourselves after a year's come into reflection...I always do, and why I've always fallen short...and this is the year things have to change, and it starts with small habits which will hopefully thunder into something bigger. We've got a concept we need to fund some video cameras with, and somehow I think this is going to have to be the year to do it. Not in some cataclysmic this will be the last year we are, or anything, but this may be the first year we are a different kind of place than I thought we were. Which makes me wonder a few things--and I hope somehow, some way, we find our way out of the bullshit, but this might be the beginning of the ridiculous, or the end of the awesome. Which is about as simple as my mind will allow right now. To think about it all too much is worse than people should admit. Today I ate normally, like 3 times. New Year New Rules

I think--well I started writing this before I was drunk, say 1 pm. This past year has been harder than anything--the drowning we have done I am over, and this year I want new habits to make new habits, if you don't get it. Every day I want to write here, and now I work VERY early so such things should still be possible. 6-2:45 pm daily and there is room in that schedule to do more than I do currently, but I will admit sleeping until 8 something has been a blessing I won't be able to forget, even though I rarely did sleep until then. 4 am was a more solid thing and now it will be with some level of distortion, unhappiness, etc. I have to figure out some better ways to be, some better ways to BE than the way things are, and that is my focus this year. More writing. More reading. A marriage within the next few weeks to solve some issues. A new puppy (Duke needs a friend!). A new apartment (next door but still imperative). With the new apartment a new way to pay my student loans so that if the unthinkable happens I am not dead by 50, I certainly ...
